Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong background in garment construction. This role involves working with various fabrics and materials to create high-quality garments while providing excellent customer service. If you have experience in fashion retail and are proficient in using sewing machines, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sewing machines and other equipment to perform alterations, fittings and repairs on bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, evening dresses, and garments according to specifications, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction with the final product.
  • Perform alterations and repairs on existing garments,
  • Utilize basic math skills for measuring fabric and calculating dimensions accurately.
  • Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are appropriately stored.
  • Stay updated on current fashion trends and techniques to enhance skills and service offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in bridal or formal wear alterations.
  • Strong skills in sewing, hemming, beading, lacework, and dress restructuring.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.

  • Background in fashion retail is preferred, with an understanding of customer service principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
