Hiring a Water Jet CNC Technician (Stone Fabricator) – Trainee/Apprentice to join our fabrication shop.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop specialized skills in stone fabrication. No prior CNC experience required — full training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in operating Water Jet CNC machines for cutting quartz and natural stone

  • Learn to read and interpret templates, shop drawings, and digital files

  • Support stone cutting, polishing, shaping, and finishing tasks

  • Follow all safety protocols for handling stone materials

  • Perform equipment cleaning and basic maintenance

  • Assist senior fabricators with day-to-day production

  • Maintain accuracy, quality control, and shop cleanliness

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn CNC operation

  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with physical labour

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic

  • Experience in fabrication, construction, or manufacturing is an asset but not required

  • Basic computer knowledge is an advantage
