Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry supervisor to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and proper handling of linens, towels, and other laundry items to ensure a high standard of hygiene and presentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and efficiency are valued. Manage a small team, ensure quality standards. Report to operations manager.
Duties
- Operate laundry machines including washers and dryers, ensuring proper load sizes and settings
- Sort, fold, and organize clean linens, towels, and uniforms for distribution
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including cleaning machines and workspaces regularly
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and laundry equipment
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report shortages as needed
- Ensure timely processing of laundry to meet operational demands
- Adhere to hygiene standards and quality control procedures to maintain guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with laundry operations or cleaning services is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is advantageous
This position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a clean and welcoming environment for guests. Prior experience in hotel or laundry services will be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months
Pay: $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
