Rosewood Hotel Georgia, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for an exceptional and extraordinary Talent & Culture Manager. The 

Talent & Culture Manager is responsible for providing guidance and support to the organization in all functional areas of responsibility to include, but not limited to, talent management, employee relations, performance evaluations, training, and accurate record keeping. This position is responsible for supporting and assisting the Director of Talent and Culture and maintaining a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective associates, in accordance with hotel standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  • Responsible for all T&C duties such as effectively assisting management and staff with entering new hires and associate changes data in ADP, answering routine questions, accurate record keeping, filing, and similar duties.
  • Oversee function of the data management system to include, but not limited to, entry of associate data, recording employment transitions (i.e. hire, separation, leaves of absence, etc.), generating reports (i.e. payroll analysis, labor turnover, etc.) and processing unemployment claims.
  • Performs monthly audits of T&C systems and files.
  • Coordinate associate requests, ensuring authorized approvals and paperwork on:

    • Leave of Absence
  • Transfers
  • PTO/Sick Days
  • Bereavement Time
  • Personal Usage
  • Rate Changes/Position Changes
  • Promotions
  • Resignations

  • Prepares weekly staffing reports and other reports as requested and/or required.

  • Establishes and maintains all employee personnel records, medicals files, workman's compensation files, and termination files, as well as proper annual boxing of files for storage and easy retrieval.
  • Responsible for the talent management of all staff and full cycle recruitment efforts, including keeping accurate associate head count, writing job descriptions, placing job ads, managing job fairs, managing the Company's ATS, coordinating and participating in the interview process, creating offer letters, and coordinating employees first day details, including new hire orientation and onboarding.

  • Ensure that the application, screening, interview and hiring process for all candidates is carried out in accordance with hotel policy and procedures.

  • Counsel and train managers on associate relations issues, resolve associate grievances, and conduct, document and conclude necessary investigations in a timely manner
  • Ensure progressive discipline procedures; monitor compliance with such; conduct counseling sessions with associates; ensure documentation and placement of records in associates' files.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of associate and hotel records and ensures all T&C procedures and processes are followed for compliance and efficiency (information and appropriate signatures on Personnel Status Forms, Leaves of Absences, Corrective Action Notices, etc.)
  • Support Talent & Culture Director in administering all other corporate initiatives such as annual merit process, benefit enrollment, wage and hour surveys, etc.
  • Partners with all operational departments of the Company to ensure compliance, maximum efficiencies, and T&C best practices and procedures.
  • Assist in analyzing data to identify trends, training needs, supervisory issues and to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage team member relations programs, activities and initiatives to include, but not limited to, picnics, holiday functions, health fairs, award banquets and special events
  • Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and associate morale.
  • Attend designated meetings.
  • All other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have working knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations.
  • Must have intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet search ability.
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now payroll platform with the overtime, vacation pay, and/or sick pay is preferred.
  • Ability to understand the flow of Human Resources transaction and processes.
  • Must have excellent problem solving/judgement skills with high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency to respond to and address all T&C-related inquiries timely and professionally from both internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to effectively draft and prepare professionally written correspondence, e-mails, facsimiles, and memorandums.
  • Must possess a proven ability to multi-task.
  • Must have customer service focus with ability to actively listen and understand all internal customers.
  • Must be comfortable with change and operating in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Must be able to behave professionally at all times while exercising very high levels of confidentiality and discretion.

Experience:
 

Minimum three years' experience as a Human Resources Supervisor or Manager at a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel/resort. 

Education:
 

College degree or equivalent experience.  

General Skills:
 

Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Technical Skills:
 

Ability to organize tasks and assign responsibilities to subordinates; ability to educate staff members to develop their knowledge and skill; thorough understanding of the training process; solid planning skills; thorough knowledge of government labor laws and regulations; thorough knowledge of benefits processing; proficiency with Microsoft Office products; proficiency in ADP preferred

Language:

Required to speak, read and write English, and do basic mathematics.  Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Remain stationary for extended periods of time
  • Standing and moving around the facility
  • Use a keyboard to generate various work-related documents
  • Handling objects, files, training materials and equipment, etc.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $76,000. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
