Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications, ensuring high-quality results on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in concrete work and related trades is highly valued, along with a commitment to craftsmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes.
  • Install rebar and formwork according to blueprints and schematics to prepare for concrete pouring.
  • Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and effectively during the pouring process.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate placement and finishing of concrete structures.
  • Apply techniques such as troweling, edging, floating, and curing to produce high-quality finishes on floors, walls, sidewalks, and other surfaces.
  • Perform related tasks including caulking, stucco application, masonry work, tile laying, flooring installation, and restoration projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, roofers, and other trades to coordinate project activities.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Heavy lifting of materials and equipment required; operate heavy machinery when necessary with proper certification.

Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge of construction tools and equipment including power tools and heavy machinery operation.
  • Construction estimating skills for material needs and project timelines.
  • Expertise in rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping systems.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for precise project execution.
  • Experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, roofing basics, restoration projects, flooring installation including tile laying.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely; commercial driving skills are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices; ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating software or schematics is advantageous. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$43.14 per hour
