Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Helper/Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting various construction projects, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn on the job. As a Construction Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to the successful completion of projects.

Duties

  • Load and unload construction materials such as bricks, stones, sand, and cement.
  • Mix mortar or cement using hand tools or mixers, under supervision.
  • Prepare and clean work areas by removing debris and setting up scaffolding or ladders.
  • Supply materials and tools to bricklayers or stonemasons as needed.
  • Assist in positioning bricks or stones during installation by holding or adjusting.
  • Use hand tools and basic power tools (e.g., trowels, levels, wheelbarrows).
  • Cut bricks and stones to size using saws or chisels (if applicable and trained).
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and barricades safely.
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist in site clean-up at the end of the workday or project.

Experience

  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A valid driver's license may be beneficial for transportation to job sites.
