SCOPE

This position is responsible for coordinating incoming customer requests with the appropriate equipment and personnel in a smooth and efficient manner. This involves establishing and maintaining good communication lines between all parties to ensure excellent customer service for an oilfield maintenance and construction company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of field experience as a crew truck foreman or oil and gas operator, with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage day-to-day operations.

In addition to dispatch duties, this role includes outside sales responsibilities focused on maintaining and growing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting company services across Northeast BC and surrounding regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications

· Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors

· Direct and support Field Supervisors in maintenance and/or construction related projects

· Fosters and contributes to a safe work environment

· Will be required to take phone calls from clients and personnel during evenings, weekends and while on rotation

· Delegates job requests to qualified supervisors, crews and welders and assigns laborers as required – includes ensuring that all tools and equipment needed for the job are communicated to the supervisors, crews, welders and labourers

· Arranges for maintenance and repair work

· Coordinates yard personnel

· Maintains hours of service on all company owned equipment

· Ensures pricing and billing is correct

· Conducts regular client site visits to maintain relationships and assess service needs

· Identifies and pursues new business opportunities with producers and facility operators

· Promotes company capabilities including maintenance, construction, dry ice blasting, and turnaround support

· Collaborates with management to develop sales strategies and support bidding efforts

· Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions

· Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

· Previous dispatching or (field) management experience

· Class 5 drivers' license

· Analytical problem-solving skills and decision-making skills

· In-depth knowledge of project management

· Good time-management skills

· Ability to multi-task

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Attention to detail

· Effective verbal and listening communications skills

· Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity

· Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills

· Sales or business development experience in oil and gas (preferred)

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with on-call requirements.

Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all field operations.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety checks and audits.

Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment and encouraging proactive safety practices among all personnel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
