What you can expect to do here:
- Collaborate with senior staff to design and coordinate mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection).
- Create and update technical drawings using Revit or AutoCAD.
- Perform calculations for heating, cooling, ventilation, and water systems.
- Prepare construction design packages and project specifications.
- Support engineering studies and compile clear, actionable reports.
- Build strong relationships with engineers, technologists, and construction teams.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to meet project deadlines.
- Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries during construction.
- Assist with contract administration, including change orders and payment certificates.
- Conduct site surveys and routine construction reviews to ensure quality.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or a Mechanical Technology diploma
- P.Tech with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan or ability to obtain
- 3+ years related experience
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads and expedited timelines
- Proven working knowledge with Revit or AutoCAD software is an asset
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards including, but not limited to, the National Building Code, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA is considered an asset
