Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pincher Creek, AB, for a Reclamation/Civil Supervisor for an 8-12 month term. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards. Responsibilities include site supervision, managing team performance, ensuring quality control, and facilitating clear communication among stakeholders. You will play an essential role in supporting projects that make a lasting environmental impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or coordinate reclamation & civil activities for up to 6 personnel.
- Provide skilled physical labour & operate equipment as needed; activities may include excavator, dozer, or skid steer operation, plant installation, material hauling/handling, driving to/from site, record keeping, safety paperwork.
- Collecting and reporting data from the field as required
- Data entry, descriptive technical writing and scientific data interpretation may be required. Project progress tracking.
- Lead a team in a remote setting requiring overnight stays. (Hotels/Accommodation/LOA provided for remote projects)
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Able and willing to drive trucks with trailers and equipment.
- Responsible for truck and trailer, hand tools, and installation materials
Qualifications
- 3 years with Strong Supervisory Skills, including team management and performance oversight.
- 3 years experience in reclamation, civil, or environmental construction projects. Background in general earthworks, streambank repair, soil handling & conditioning, erosion control all an asset
- Experienced in Quality Control to ensure project work meets industry standards and specified requirements.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills.
- Knowledge of Alberta's environmental and ecological standards is an asset.
- Ability to work in dynamic, outdoor environments and adapt to project demands.
Tickets/Certifications:
- Intermediate First Aid (required prior to job start)
- Ground Disturbance - Level II (preferred)
- Common Safety Orientation or Construction Safety Training System (preferred)
- UTV Operator Training (preferred)
