Job Overview:*
Deloitte Cloud Services reports to the Deloitte Global CTO and is responsible for delivering cloud solutions which accelerate the delivery of both revenue-generating and internal applications. Deloitte Cloud Services supports software development efforts and provides best practices which streamline and fully automate the release management pipeline.

As an AWS Cloud Engineering Manager you will drive the delivery of world-class cloud solutions based on the AWS platform for the office of the Deloitte Global CTO, providing expertise on cloud infrastructure services. This includes taking a lead role in the cloud architecture and engineering practice. You will be challenged to find approaches that enable rapid adoption of new cloud services and drive transformation for our business and IT processes.

Your responsibilities include partnering with business-lead development teams and successfully leading the design of cloud solutions. You will be challenged to find approaches that enable rapid adoption of new cloud services, drive transformation, and transform IT.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and extend Cloud automation using a combination of RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and event-driven architecture.
  • Ensure that cloud solutions follow governance, security, and compliance controls, as well as best practices. Create infrastructure as code templates and orchestration to deliver consistent, secure environments.
  • Be a trusted advisor for Cloud Engineering and Architecture. You should have a foundational understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build solutions.
  • Provide operational assistance to support the larger needs of the organization.
  • Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.
  • Execute in several discipline areas to achieve project objectives. Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high quality.
  • Utilization of CI\CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, Github, etc.. and creating pipelines for automated build and releases.

Required Qualifications:*

  • 8 years of experience in the IT field.
  • 3-5 years of development experience on a major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Hands-on coding skills with Python.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation.
  • Experience with message-based systems and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with API development and the CRUD model.
  • Knowledge of SQL and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
  • Understanding of Scrum Agile methodology and experience working on a Scrum team.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives and technical teams.
  • Excellent influencing and reasoning skills; good at conflict resolution and consensus building.
  • Ability to travel ~10%.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
