About Us
At Oxford Learning North York at the Lawrence Plaza, we are passionate about nurturing young learners. Our programs emphasize foundational skills in reading, phonics, and math, fostering confidence and a love of learning in children. We also value versatility in our team, including the ability to provide support in French when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach early reading, phonics, and math to children in kindergarten and early elementary grades.
  • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Follow the Oxford Learning curriculum and teaching methods to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Provide feedback on student progress through Lesson Planner Reviews (LPRs).
  • Work with French studnts, or serve as a backup for French instruction when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in teaching, coaching, or after-school settings.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) certification is a strong asset.
  • French-speaking ability is required for occasional backup French coverage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for connecting with young learners.
  • Passionate about education and helping children thrive academically and personally.

Schedule / Availability

  • Must be available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
  • Availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays is an asset but not required.

Salary:
$19 / hour
