Key responsibilities and activities of a Salesforce API developer include:

  • Integration with External Systems:

Connecting Salesforce with other business applications and external services using REST and SOAP APIs. This allows for data exchange and process automation across different systems.

  • Custom Application Development:

Building custom applications on the Salesforce Platform using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components, which often interact with Salesforce data through APIs.

  • Data Management and Automation:

Using APIs for bulk data loading, updates, and reporting, as well as automating business processes within Salesforce.

  • Security and Authentication:

Implementing secure API access and authentication mechanisms, often leveraging OAuth flows, to protect sensitive data.

  • API Design and Best Practices:

Understanding and applying best practices for API usage, including considerations for API limits, performance, and error handling.

  • Utilizing Specific Salesforce APIs:
