Preconstruction Coordinator

Industra is a multi-disciplined, self-perform General Contractor actively seeking individuals that wish to advance within our organization and feel as though their contributions directly effect the growth and direction of the company.
We are seeking a Preconstruction Coordinator to join our team in our Surrey, BC office. This role will work closely with project team members, managers and leads to coordinate the early stages of our projects from concept to commencement.
This role will play a key part in coordinating internal teams, external consultants and clients. A solid understanding of architectural drawings, combined with excellent communication and teamwork skills, is essential.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of construction knowledge, attention to detail, and stakeholder management experience to help navigate competing priorities and keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee all preconstruction activities on assigned projects, from initial concept through contract execution.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to define scope, create estimates and resolve any issues that may arise.
Assisting the operations team in planning starting and completion times.
Collaborating with the project team to review drawings and specifications early in the process, identifying constructability challenges and proposing practical solutions.
Attending site walkthroughs as needed from the start to finish of the project.
Managing administrative tasks as needed and handling email and phone communications.
Ensuring timely distribution of relevant documents to the appropriate stakeholders.
Other job-related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS
College diploma or related experience required.
3-5 years previous experience within the construction industry
Effective computer skills involving Word, Excel, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, Adobe, Projects, B2W.
