What led you to become an occupational therapist? We are seeking an occupational therapist to join our team in delivering collaborative, relationship-based occupational therapy services in the community. As a self-starter with integrity and accountability, the successful candidate would have the opportunity to develop a holistic occupational therapy practice with mentorship and support from our leadership team. If you are eager to make a difference and you're passionate about offering excellent care that addresses the diverse health and well-being needs of community members, this is the position for you.
Take an inside look at what you'll do each day
- Provide occupational therapy services to people who have sustained mental health, physical, or brain injuries.
- Meet clients where they are at, in their homes, workplaces, communities, or virtually.
- Form relationships built with trust, seek to understand factors and facilitators relating to a client access to, initiation of, and sustained occupational participation.
- Collaborate with clients, employers, funders, and health care team members in designing and delivering tailored occupational therapy services to promote return to work, reintroduction of everyday occupations, and well-being.
- Connect with team members and team leaders to innovate and improve the quality of the healthcare services we provide.
Here's What You'll Need To Be Successful
- You are a graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy
- You are a registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in BC
- Have experience in the private sector and working within the community
- Experience with Mental Health diagnoses, brain and spinal cord injuries
- Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with a willingness to travel to rural site(s)
- You are passionate about your profession and committed to ongoing professional development
