Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Carpenter located in Greater Sudbury, ON. The Lead Carpenter will oversee construction projects from start to finish, including tasks such as foundations, framing, finish carpentry etc. Supervision of the site in it's entirety. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, ensuring the proper use of hand tools and power tools, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The role also involves maintaining safety standards and clear communication with team members and subtrades to ensure projects are completed according to specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Carpentry, including framing and finish carpentry
  • Red seal certification is an asset
  • Proficiency in the use of Power Tools and Hand Tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and standards
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Experience in construction project management is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
