Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to improving the well-being of clients, especially seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a respectful and caring environment.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
  • Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure client safety
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, especially those with dementia or in hospice care
  • Document care provided accurately and report any concerns to supervising staff
  • Support clients in engaging in recreational activities or therapies tailored to their needs

Skills

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration and dementia care
  • Ability to work effectively with seniors, people with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or senior care
  • Strong caregiving skills with compassion, patience, and empathy
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs
  • Good communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt to different care settings and client needs

Pay: $23.00 per hour
