Job Summary
C'ChoColat is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in supporting our dessert-driven menu, ensuring consistent quality, precise preparation, and smooth service during busy hours. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and passionate about working in a fast-paced chocolate lounge environment where presentation and consistency matter as much as taste.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for C'ChoColat menu items, including desserts, crêpes, sauces, toppings, and beverages
- Follow standardized recipes and preparation guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and portion control
- Assist with daily prep tasks such as batching sauces, preparing mixes, portioning ingredients, and organizing prep stations
- Support service by cooking, assembling, and plating items according to C'ChoColat standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and handling procedures strictly
- Work efficiently during peak service hours while maintaining attention to detail and product quality
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow
Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience as a prep cook, line cook, or in a similar food service role (dessert or café experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Good understanding of kitchen operations, preparation techniques, and workflow organization
- High attention to detail, especially in portioning and presentation
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Description du poste
C'ChoColat recherche un(e) Cuisinier(ère) / Préposé(e) à la préparation motivé(e) et rigoureux(se) pour rejoindre son équipe en cuisine. Ce poste joue un rôle clé dans la préparation de notre menu axé sur les desserts, en garantissant une qualité constante, une préparation précise et un service fluide durant les périodes de forte affluence.
Le ou la candidat(e) idéal(e) est organisé(e), efficace et apprécie le travail dans un environnement dynamique où la présentation et la régularité sont aussi importantes que le goût.
Responsabilités
- Préparer et assembler les ingrédients des produits C'ChoColat (desserts, crêpes, sauces, garnitures et boissons)
- Respecter les recettes et procédures standards afin d'assurer la constance, la qualité et le contrôle des portions
- Participer à la préparation quotidienne : sauces, mélanges, portions et organisation des postes de travail
- Soutenir le service en cuisinant, assemblant et dressant les produits selon les standards C'ChoColat
- Maintenir un espace de travail propre, organisé et conforme aux normes d'hygiène (postes, équipements, rangement)
- Appliquer strictement les règles de sécurité alimentaire et de manipulation des aliments
- Travailler efficacement durant les heures de pointe tout en conservant un haut niveau de précision et de qualité
- Communiquer clairement avec l'équipe cuisine et le personnel en salle afin d'assurer un service fluide
Compétences et exigences
- Expérience préalable en tant que cuisinier(ère), aide-cuisinier(ère) ou dans un poste similaire en restauration (expérience en desserts ou café est un atout)
- Bonne connaissance des normes de sécurité alimentaire et des procédures de manipulation des aliments
- Capacité à travailler efficacement sous pression dans un environnement à fort volume
- Bonne compréhension des opérations de cuisine et des techniques de préparation
- Sens aigu du détail, notamment pour le respect des portions et la présentation
- Esprit d'équipe, fiabilité et bonnes compétences en communication
- Flexibilité pour travailler le matin, le soir, les fins de semaine et les jours fériés selon les besoins
