Job Summary

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and effective communication skills to deliver high-quality cleaning services efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial or institutional settings
  • Operate hand tools and power tools for specialized cleaning or maintenance tasks
  • Use custodial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and pressure washers to ensure thorough cleaning
  • Conduct facilities maintenance tasks as needed to uphold safety standards
  • Handle heavy lifting of supplies or equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures during all cleaning activities
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to address specific cleaning needs or concerns

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate
  • Familiarity with facilities maintenance and use of power tools is a plus
  • Strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety standards
  • Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled timeframes
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
