The Role
As a Quality Assurance III, you will act as an experienced and proactive professional who leads quality efforts across complex projects and systems. As a senior member of the QA team, you will be responsible for developing robust testing strategies, mentoring junior QA analysts, and driving continuous improvements in QA processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of our CAD and RMS public safety software solutions. We are building our next generation of services for our CAD and RMS products and the growth of this team is foundational to the quality of our next chapter in Public Safety. This job posting is being used to fill an existing vacancy.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
  • Review requirements and design specifications for testability and completeness
  • Act as a quality advocate and work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed QA best practices into the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure release planning, code reviews, and production readiness checks are completed
  • Perform risk analysis and contribute to test coverage strategies
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for regression, functional, API, and performance testing
  • Mentor and provide guidance to QA team members, helping to grow skills and knowledge
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support team objectives, departmental needs, and overall organizational priorities.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience and training.
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in quality assurance or relevant testing role.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, TestSigma, Postman, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages
  • Excellent understanding of API testing, performance testing, and database validation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.
  • Ability to approach problems methodically and seek solutions without guidance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check for CJIS security requirements.

Impress Us With

  • Experience leading QA efforts for large SaaS or enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Kubernetes for testing scenarios.
  • Experience with security testing in environments with high compliance criteria such as SOC2, CJIS, ISO.
  • ISTQB Advanced Certification or equivalent
  • Experience with leveraging AI tooling in development workflows.

This position requires a security clearance from the Government of Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and must successfully obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance.
