Billboard Canada is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to join our growing creative team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the visual direction of an iconic music media brand. From creating cover stories to designing content for our digital and social platforms, we're looking for someone who lives and breathes music, culture, and great design.

What You'll Do:

  • Design visually striking editorial covers and feature layouts for print and digital formats
  • Translate editorial vision into compelling graphics that align with Billboard's visual identity
  • Create cohesive assets across social, web, print, and events
  • Develop promotional and branded content in collaboration with marketing and partnership teams
  • Uphold and evolve Billboard's brand guidelines while contributing fresh ideas to push the boundaries of our visual presence
  • Work cross-functionally with editors, photographers, and video producers to ensure creative consistency across platforms

What We're Looking For:

  • A strong background in typography, you understand the nuance of type selection, spacing, and hierarchy, especially in cover design
  • Expertise in branding, including logo treatments, colour theory, and brand consistency across media
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Figma is a plus)
  • A sharp eye for layout and composition with the ability to turn complex ideas into clean, bold visuals
  • Experience designing for social media and understanding how design adapts across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn)
  • Familiarity with photo treatments, lighting, and placement of on-cover elements like mastheads and headlines
  • Understanding of music culture and artist identity, you know how to let a personality or story shine through design
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced editorial environment

  • Bonus: Experience in motion design, event branding, or print production
