Baccalieu Trail Brewing Co. – a vibrant microbrewery and taproom in picturesque Bay Roberts – is looking for a Short Order Cook to join our growing team Our taproom is the place to be for craft beer lovers and foodies alike, serving up a fresh lineup of beer, tasty bites, and good vibes all around.

What's the job? As a Short Order Cook, you'll be the mastermind behind our mouthwatering pub-style menu, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment to deliver tasty food to our hungry guests. From grilling to frying, prepping to plating, you'll be the one ensuring every order is cooked to perfection.

What will you do?

  • Cook with flair Take customer orders and prepare food exactly how they like it.
  • Grill & fry like a pro – burgers, chicken, fries, and more
  • Keep the kitchen flowing by managing orders, ensuring everything's cooked and served at the same time.
  • Prep fresh ingredients – slice, dice, and get everything ready for the next delicious creation.
  • Plate and serve meals that will leave our customers coming back for more.
  • Keep everything sparkling – maintain a clean and organized kitchen while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Inventory magic – keep an eye on supplies and let management know when we're running low.

What do we need from you?

  • A high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen – if you know your way around a grill and fryer, you'll fit right in
  • The ability to multi-task and work quickly while keeping the quality high and staying calm.
  • Team spirit – communication and cooperation are key.
  • Attention to detail – we want cooks who take pride in every plate.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Dependability and a solid work ethic – we can count on you to show up and get the job done

What's the schedule & pay?

  • Shifts will vary and will include weekdays and weekends. You will typically work every 2nd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and weekday hours as well.
  • Shift lengths are usually 6-12 hours, but can vary and will depend on the season/open hours.
  • 20-30 hours per week, and opportunity for 40+ hours during weeks with event bookings and during our summer season (June - September)
  • Starting at $16/hour + great tips
