Position Overview:
As a Design Designer at EeStairs, you'll be a crucial link between innovative concepts and tangible reality. You'll transform architectural visions into meticulously detailed 3D models, 2D drawings and accurate BOMs playing a key role in crafting stunning staircases that elevate both form and function. Your expertise in SolidWorks and your keen eye for detail will ensure that every design is executed with precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

43 hour work week with flex hour options. Fridays we close at 2:30pm.

Compensation
: Hourly Rate $35-$45. 43 hour work week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks for fabrication, architecture, structural elements, and on-site installation.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring alignment with production and procurement.
  • Specify appropriate materials based on performance, aesthetics, cost, and code compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Work independently and within a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Stay adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by optimizing workflows, processes, and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

Education
: Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Industrial Design.

Experience
: Minimum 3 years in architectural or industrial design, with a strong portfolio of technical and creative work.

Software Skills
: Proficient in 3D modeling; SolidWorks experience strongly preferred.

Construction/Fabrication Knowledge
: Hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, woodworking, or installations is an asset.

Technical Communication
: Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly convey design concepts and read technical drawings.

Organizational Skills
: Highly organized with excellent documentation, record-keeping, and time management abilities.

Attention to Detail
: Precision-driven with a strong eye for design accuracy, measurements, and tolerances.
