Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within our retail or service environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management, sales strategies, and team development. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring exceptional customer service, and implementing effective business practices to drive growth and operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and cash handling.
  • Manage inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, stocking, and pricing strategies to optimize product availability and profitability.
  • Conduct employee orientation, training & development programs, interviewing, recruiting, and performance evaluations.
  • Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, budgeting, and financial record keeping.
  • Implement marketing initiatives to promote products or services; utilize POS systems effectively.
  • Maintain organizational standards through effective stock management and store presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations; address customer complaints professionally.
  • Utilize negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing agreements.
  • Supervise administrative functions such as phone etiquette, scheduling, and record management.

Experience

  • Proven management experience in retail sales or store management roles.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management responsibilities.
  • Strong background in retail math including pricing, sales management, inventory control, and budgeting.
  • Experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and inventory management software.
  • Skills in employee recruitment, training & development, marketing strategies, and merchandising.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for communicating with diverse customer bases.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
