Lead Arborist

Job Description:Lead Climber,

EXPERIENCE ARBORIST ONLY

• Working in the canopy of the trees

At various heights from either a Bucket truck or with a Rope and Harness using correct Tree Climbing Techniques

• Contributing to the crew including ground work and running machinery
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and Removals safely, professionally and efficiently,

Also including but not limited to:

• Driving company vehicles and machinery
• Pruning, Thinning, & Removing
• Deadwooding
• Removal of Hazardous Trees
• Stump Grinding,
• Emergency work
• Clean up, etc
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, Bucket truck, etc

Qualifications/ Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
• Certifcate in Arborculture, Chainsaw and Climbing, Highly desired
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 Ibs repetitively
• Experience in Chainsaw and Chipper operation, Essential, but training can be provided
• Experience in Emergency Storm Work, Desirable
• Valid G2 or G class (car licence) provincial driver's Desirable
• Tree & Knot knowledge a must, Essential, but training can be provided
• A background in Forestry or Arboriculture, Preferred but not essential

license (DZ an asset)

• Ability to work safely as part of a team

and possess the willingness to learn and

progress

• Abide by industry and Company safety policies and

procedures. (MTO Book 7, Electrical

Utility Safety Rules, Arborist Safe Work

Practices, etc.)

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
