POSITION FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Manager, the Program Support Worker, provides administrative and student services support for the MOSAIC Engage English Classes.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer questions from walk-ins, over the phone and current clients
- Provide administrative support for reports, client/student records, and forms. Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to client/student information.
- Provide general orientation to the facilities for clients/students/community partners/stakeholders both in person and over the phone.
- May document client activities in database(s), or document and collect data to produce contractual reports or statistics for funders.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of MOSAIC programs and departments in order to support clients with a range of needs
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment by supporting and building relationships with clients
- Write informative, topical, and interesting content for blogs and social media
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Office Management/Business Administration diploma/certificates and/or appropriate combination of experience and training.
- One year minimum of related experience.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and standard office equipment.
- Excellent Customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to speak Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Ukrainian, Russian, or Turkish will be considered an asset.
- Efficient organizational abilities: able to set priorities and meet deadlines; able to multi-task.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Must possess sound judgement and initiative.
- Experience and sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of immigrant populations and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Previous experience in the Settlement sector and knowledge of settlement resources and tools a asset
COMPENSATION: $24.82 -$25.70 per hour
HOURS:
Part-time, 12 hours per week (9 AM to 1 PM) Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Start Date: January 2026
The successful candidate must be able to commute to the Vancouver English Language and Assessment Centre (2555 Commercial Drive).
