Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Officer to oversee and coordinate various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in project management methodologies, stakeholder communication, and team leadership. This role involves managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery aligned with organizational goals. The Project Officer will also facilitate collaboration across departments and external vendors, utilizing advanced project management tools and techniques to drive efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans utilizing methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions and manage requirements documentation using tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple teams including IT, product development, and vendor partners.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and risk management to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Supervise project teams, providing leadership and guidance on best practices in project management and organizational skills.
  • Monitor project progress using tools such as Trello, Primavera P6, Workday, Basecamp, and Project Server; adjust plans as necessary.
  • Conduct data analysis for project performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Facilitate change management processes to adapt project scope or deliverables as needed.
  • Ensure quality management standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize resources and outcomes.
  • Support program management initiatives by coordinating multiple related projects to achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT project management with a strong understanding of methodologies including PMBOK, Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, Kanban, and program management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated supervising experience with team management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Visio, Primavera P6, Trello, Workday, Basecamp, and Project Server.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or similar platforms; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and present complex information clearly.
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, requirements management, risk management, quality assurance, data collection/analysis skills.
  • Experience in vendor management negotiations and working within diverse project environments including product development or service delivery sectors.
  • Familiarity with project management standards such as PMBOK or equivalent frameworks; certification preferred (PMP or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Workday or similar HR systems is advantageous; familiarity with product management tools is a plus. Job Type: Full-time
