Gulf Operators is seeking a skilled professional to direct and control our field activities, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will interpret bid documents, maintain communication with various stakeholders, and oversee the daily operations of on-site crews. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will be vital in driving project success. From roadways and bridges to marine terminals and wind farms, our projects shape the future. Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution – Interpret bid documents, drawings, specifications, and contracts to develop work plans and resource requirements.
- On-Site Direction – Direct on-site crews to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Communication Management – Maintain open communication with the workforce, management, and customers regarding daily tasks and job progress.
- Cost Tracking & Budget Management – Track project costs and request purchase orders to ensure budgets are met.
- Reporting & Documentation – Complete quantitative surveys and maintain daily reporting.
- Scheduling – Assist in building and maintaining the main project schedule, along with a three-week lookahead, which will take about 5% of your time.
- Safety Compliance – Ensure all jobs are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, complying with legislation and company policies.
Qualifications
- Education – High School diploma required; Technical or College Diploma preferred.
- Experience – 3-5 years of experience in the heavy civil construction field, with a preference for candidates having 5-10 years of experience.
- Skills – Superior communication and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Technical Aptitude – Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Certifications – Valid driver's license is required; P.Tech certification is preferred.
