Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and configure ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements, utilizing JavaScript, RESTful API, and Web services.
  • Design and implement solution architecture for integrations involving Salesforce, Pegasystems, AWS, and other enterprise systems.
  • Manage system integrations using ETL processes, APIs, and scripting languages such as Python, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell.
  • Ensure system security through system hardening, vulnerability management, and adherence to best practices in cloud security and network security protocols like VPN, firewall, and DNS configurations.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to optimize system performance, including tasks related to load balancing, virtualization (VMware, ESXi), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins and manage version control with Git.
  • Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning for ServiceNow modules as well as related systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) following Agile methodologies to deliver scalable microservices-based solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance on system architecture, network design, and security protocols to ensure robust system operation across diverse environments including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms like Azure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing on the ServiceNow platform with a strong understanding of its architecture and capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise IT systems including IT infrastructure, system administration, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, or similar; experience with scripting languages like Bash or Shell Scripting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with API development (RESTful API, SOAP), integration techniques, and middleware tools.
  • Experience working within an Agile environment utilizing DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), security measures (firewall, VPN), and virtualization technologies (VMware, ESXi).
  • Knowledge of database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL; experience with system hardening and vulnerability assessment is preferred.
