Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join Café de Madrid culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up and breaking down workstations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for culinary excellence.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is highly desirable.
  • Spanish language is preferable but not mandatory.
