is seeking a motivated
Business Intelligence Analyst
to be a key player in our Data and Analytics team based at our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office

This is a temporary maternity leave coverage position with an expected duration of December 2025 until January 2027
Summary of the role
This role will support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create business value by leveraging people, processes, data, and technology. This role will participate and assist in the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards and utilize domain expertise, data warehouses, and other analytical tools to foster an environment where productivity and innovation thrives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and integrate data from multiple sources to deliver valuable results to end users
  • Collaborate with team members to design data models and database structures that support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Perform data cleansing and validation of financial reporting to ensure accuracy
  • Write SQL queries to extract data for analysis
  • Work with team members to optimize data retrieval processes and improve database performance
  • Develop and maintain visually appealing reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations using MS PowerBI
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements to deliver actionable data
  • Use BI tools to develop and support automatic distribution and self serve guided analysis areas for data quality, testing, validation, and training

What does it take to get on track?

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Science
  • 2 to 3 years of related work experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
  • Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and analysis is a must
  • Experience with MS PowerBI is a must
  • Experience with DataBricks is a considerable asset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written, with the ability to work independently and with a variety of people in team environments
