Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Shop Hand/Parts Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that parts and materials are delivered efficiently to various departments within our facility. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to excellent customer service. This position will be responsible for maintaining the shop/yard for a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport parts and materials between the vendors and our shop.
  • Operate company vehicles to deliver parts promptly.
  • Assist with inventory management by keeping track of parts and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the warehouse.
  • Clean shop and yard when necessary
  • Maintain yard maintenance, including grass cutting and snow removal
  • Perform other duties as required

Experience

  • Previous experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and generally friendly attitude
  • Ability to work alone and follow directions
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and moving items safely.
  • Must have Class 5 drivers license
  • Must supply drivers abstract
