Job Description:As the Shop Mechanic you will report to the Logistics and Dispatch Team and be based out of Grande Prairie, BC. The role will be Monday to Friday as well as weekend coverage when required. This position is responsible for ensuring the company equipment is well maintained and repaired, meeting all standards and requirements, and that defects are resolved expeditiously and that internal customer questions are resolved in a timely manner.Position: Shop Mechanic | Full-time (Monday – Friday)Compensation: $45-49/hr, depending on experience | On-call Pay: Additional per MonthResponsibilities & Qualifications:Experience and Proficiencies:Understanding of industry regulatory requirementsProficiency with computers including MS Office applications preferredCryogenic equipment experience is an assetCertifications:Red Seal CertificationCDL/Class 1 License preferredCVI certification preferredHigh School DiplomaLocation: Applicants residing in the Grande Prairie region are preferred.Responsibilities:Prioritize safety on all work tasksPerform preventive maintenance of fleet/equipmentMaintain detailed records of repair and parts inventoryEnsure, maintain, and promote safe & efficient work practicesFollow company policy in accordance with the Company ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management SystemReport any safety issues, incidents, or gaps in the Quality Management SystemBe a respectful team-player that leads with professionalism and integrityMaintain tools and enforce a safe and clean work areaComplete repairs timely and efficientlyPerform & analyze diagnostic tests on vehicles to find faults and make needed repairs while ensuring that all trailers are purged before entering the shopInterface with internal customers, drivers, and other company personnel; communicate effectively and professionally with a spirit of teamworkTest drive vehicles to gauge performanceProvide service summary to drivers and ensure all checks and balances are performed before returning the vehicle to operationsGeneral Qualifications:Strong written and oral communication skillsFlexibility to complete service callsDemonstrates strong mechanical and technical aptitudeDetail-oriented and able to spot errors #J-18808-Ljbffr
