What You'll Be Doing
As a
Field Support Technician
, you'll act as the primary point of contact for clients while supporting a mix of day-to-day requests and exciting project work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the frontline IT contact for external client sites
- Provide Tier 1.5 support across desktops, laptops, software, peripherals, and access issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows environments, servers, and basic networking
- Use
Autotask
to log, triage, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests - Maintain documentation using
IT Glue
or similar platforms - Deploy, image, and configure desktops and laptops
- Coordinate and schedule equipment swaps with end users
- Escalate issues appropriately while collaborating with internal and external teams
- Participate in project implementations including:
- Server deployments
- Network upgrades
- Cloud migrations
- Create and maintain user-facing and internal technical documentation
Required Experience & Skills
- 1–3 years of IT support experience
, preferably supporting
external clients - Previous experience working for an
MSP (Managed Services Provider) - Strong working knowledge of:
- Windows 10 / Windows Desktop Support
Ticketing systems (Autotask strongly preferred)
Ability to commute daily and
travel to client sites (~70%)- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
