Field Support Technician

Work Model:
Onsite / Hybrid | ~70% Client Site Travel

Salary:
$65,000–$70,000 base

What You'll Be Doing

As a
Field Support Technician
, you'll act as the primary point of contact for clients while supporting a mix of day-to-day requests and exciting project work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the frontline IT contact for external client sites
  • Provide Tier 1.5 support across desktops, laptops, software, peripherals, and access issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows environments, servers, and basic networking
  • Use
    Autotask
    to log, triage, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests
  • Maintain documentation using
    IT Glue
    or similar platforms
  • Deploy, image, and configure desktops and laptops
  • Coordinate and schedule equipment swaps with end users
  • Escalate issues appropriately while collaborating with internal and external teams
  • Participate in project implementations including:
  • Server deployments
  • Network upgrades
  • Cloud migrations
  • Create and maintain user-facing and internal technical documentation

Required Experience & Skills

  • 1–3 years of IT support experience
    , preferably supporting
    external clients
  • Previous experience working for an
    MSP (Managed Services Provider)
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Windows 10 / Windows Desktop Support
  • Ticketing systems (Autotask strongly preferred)

  • Ability to commute daily and
    travel to client sites (~70%)

  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
