UX Designer - Senior:
On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a UX Designer - Senior for a 14-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client's Toronto office.

UX Designer - Senior - Job Description:
The UX Designer - Senior will be involved in designing user interfaces for various projects, focusing on creating effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces. This role involves taking a user-centered design approach to ensure a great user experience and iterating based on user testing.

UX Designer - Senior - Responsibilities:

  • Create effective, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Design the overall functionality of the product to ensure a great user experience and iterate based on user testing.
  • Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, and translate findings into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

UX Designer - Senior - Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience demonstrating capability in user needs mapping, user research, stakeholder mapping, personas, customer journey mapping, collaborative design, prototyping, and service blueprinting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emerging trends and developments in service delivery, digital service design, and leading-edge technology.
  • Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance.
  • Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role designing for web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
  • Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively engage clients and stakeholders unfamiliar with service design and UX principles.

UX Designer - Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of network security and network protocols.
  • Experience facilitating a client's product vision through research, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing digital products.
  • Ability to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Experience making strategic design and UX decisions for core and new features.
  • Experience gathering user feedback to improve existing interfaces.

UX Designer - Senior – Assignment Length:
This is a 14-month contract position.
