Role Description

This contract-based hybrid role is for a Big Data Consultant located in Mississauga, ON, with the flexibility of partial remote work. The Big Data Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing big data solutions, performing data analysis, implementing ETL processes, and managing data pipelines. The role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, leveraging advanced analytics, and contributing to the strategic use of data to drive business insights and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Big Data Analytics, Big Data tools, and Data Science methodologies to extract insights and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Strong skills in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and Data Warehousing techniques for managing and transferring large datasets.
  • Experience in developing and optimizing scalable data pipelines and large-scale distributed systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
