Job Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Pre-Sales Technical Engineer to join their growing Services Division. This role focuses on working closely with the sales team to strategize on new business opportunities, ensuring a deep understanding of prospective client needs and industry-specific challenges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working within an MSP, VAR, or Distributor, enabling Sales to better close Services in a traditional reseller model.

Location: London or Windsor, Ontario (Hybrid options available with travel to client sites required).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Engagement: Work closely with the sales team to strategize on new business opportunities, ensuring a deep understanding of prospective client needs and industry-specific challenges.

  • Client Consultation: Directly engage with clients to assess their business requirements and technological pain points, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.

  • Solution Design and Customization: Architect and customize solutions that uniquely address the needs of each client, emphasizing scalability and future growth.

  • Dynamic Presentation and Demonstration: Skillfully prepare and present dynamic presentations and demonstrations that clearly articulate the value and competitive edge of our solutions.

  • Technical Sales Support: Provide comprehensive technical guidance during the sales cycle, responding to inquiries, resolving complex issues, and facilitating product evaluations.

  • Relationship Management: Establish and nurture lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to foster long-term business growth.

  • Market Intelligence: Continuously gather intelligence on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and technology innovations to enhance solution positioning and sales tactics.

  • Sales Target Achievement: Actively assist the sales team in meeting or exceeding revenue targets and strategic business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in pre-sales, technical sales, or a similar role within the IT sector, ideally within an MSP or similar environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Broad exposure to modern IT ecosystems, including networking architecture, cloud infrastructure, enterprise storage, and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Stack Experience: demonstrated experience managing or designing solutions within Microsoft O365 environments and adhering to current cybersecurity standards.

  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, adept at discussing complex technical details with both technical and executive audiences.

  • Tool Experience: Proficiency with PSA and quoting tools (such as ConnectWise Sell) is preferred.

  • Adaptability and Drive: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with a results-oriented mindset.
