Intensive Services - Intensive In-Home, Day and Live-In Treatment Programs
Full Time Position-37.5 hours per week
EveryMind Mental Health Services is currently recruiting for a strong clinically talented mental health professional, with leadership experience in the Child & Youth Mental Health Sector, to supervise Child & Family Clinicians as well as Child & Youth Counsellors and oversee the day-to-day operations of a day treatment classroom within the Intensive Services department and to support implementation of EveryMind's Strategic Plan.
EveryMind is an accredited child and youth mental health organization that provides a continuum of high-quality mental health services for children, youth and their families who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing mental health issues.
Intensive Services is guided by the ARC (Attachment, Regulation, Competency) Framework in providing trauma-informed treatment to children and youth who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges through a continuum of intensive yet flexible evidence-based interventions based and delivered in-home, in-community, and in day or live-in treatment settings. Building upon families' formal and informal supports, using both individual psychotherapy and family-focused, relationship-based approaches, including work specifically with the caregivers, Intensive Services works collaboratively with children, youth and their families toward mutually agreed upon goals to increase coping with multiple and significant stressors.
EveryMind operates therapeutic day treatment programs within different Peel & Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board community schools for children/youth whose mental health challenges require the support of a combined treatment and education program ''. EveryMind Live in Treatment Programs located on a peaceful campus in Caledon, provide a safe, accepting, supportive therapeutic environment for children/youth with complex mental health needs, while delivering intensive treatment to both them and their caregivers.
Summary of Function
As the Supervisor, Clinical Services within Intensive Services, the successful candidate will provide clinical and administrative supervision to a team of Child & Family Clinicians and Child & Youth Counsellors. The Supervisor holds accountability for clinical quality, service flow, and program performance across intensive in-home, day treatment, and live-in treatment services. The Supervisor will facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to the provision of trauma-informed, attachment-based, evidenced-based treatment that includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Motivational Interviewing and other approved modalities by providing individual and systems-related consultation, and identifying and professional development needs.
The Supervisor, Clinical Services will participate in the continued development, implementation and evaluation of programs with the support of the Manager, Clinical Services. They will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, mentoring staff, and performance management, monitoring program budgets and ensuring accountability for service delivery targets. In addition, the incumbent will participate as a member of the intensive services and larger clinical leadership team, collaborate with other supervisors on agency-wide initiatives and contribute to internal and external committees related to program areas of responsibility.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Hiring Salary range - $86, $93, Step 1- Step 3 in a 5 step pay band)

Job Responsibilities
The incumbent will:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the implementation and maintenance of program specific service models and philosophies;
- Be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, discipline, performance management, and professional development of a team of Clinicians (Registered Social Workers and Psychotherapists), and Child and Youth Counsellors, including the provision of clinical supervision in accordance with organizational policy and regulatory college requirements;
- Implement and oversee high-quality treatment services designed to meet individual needs of clients and their families;
- Facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to the provision of trauma-informed, attachment- based and evidenced-based/evidence-informed service delivery;
- Oversee implementation and use of evidenced-based assessment tools (e.g., InterRAI ChYMH) and the development, review and ongoing revision of written clinical assessments and treatment plans that reflect child/youth and families' strengths, formal/informal supports, cultural values, and client needs;
- Ensure treatment planning and service delivery adhere to evidence-based and evidence-informed modalities and incorporate outcome measures where required;
- Effectively manage program waitlists, including triaging referrals, prioritizing service access, and optimizing clinician caseloads to ensure equitable workload distribution;
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the day treatment program ensuring adequate staffing coverage, vacation planning and scheduling;
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and psychological safety of children and youth within Day Treatment program through proactive risk identification, staff guidance, and adherence to trauma-informed and milieu-based best practices;
- Support continuous quality improvement within Intensive Services programs by monitoring service delivery, identifying trends or areas for improvement, and contributing to the development and implementation of corrective action or enhancement plans in collaboration with the Manager, Clinical Services;
- Work collaboratively within the Intensive Services department to advocate for flexible, responsive services that meet the unique needs of clients and families;
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with school board partners to support Day Treatment classroom operations within mainstream school settings and facilitate smooth, supportive client transitions;
- Actively participate in community and internal case conferences to support coordinated service planning for children and youth with complex mental health needs;
- Be responsible for program budget and approval of program expenses, ensuring expenditures remain within approved allocations;
- Maintain accountability for service targets and the integrity of program data within the client information system (e.g., EMHware);
- Ensure compliance with the organization's reporting, clinical documentation, statistical, privacy (PHIPA) and data entry requirements;
- Ensure timely identification, documentation, reporting, and follow-up of Serious Occurrences in accordance with organizational policy, funder requirements, and applicable legislation;
- Provide guidance and support to staff in Serious Occurrence response, debriefing, and corrective action planning, and participate in Serious Occurrence reviews as required;
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and Infection Prevention & Control requirements;
- Collaborate with internal departments including People & Culture, Finance and Administration, System Planning and Quality Improvement, and Information Technology (IT);
- Participate as a high-functioning member of the clinical leadership team and contribute to sector and organizational initiatives;
- Participate in the supervisory on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends, in accordance with organizational policy;
- Other related responsibilities.
Knowledge, Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or a related health discipline;
- Membership in good standing with a relevant regulatory college and eligibility to provide clinical supervision to qualifying and registered members (e.g., OCSWSSW, CRPO);
- Minimum five years of directly related experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role;
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical assessment, formulation, developmental trauma, attachment theory, and child and adolescent mental health;
- Demonstrated experience with evidence-based and evidence-informed modalities, including ARC, CBT, EFFT, Motivational Interviewing, and family-systems approaches;
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) and Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA);
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and culturally responsive practice;
- Strong report-writing and documentation skills and experience with electronic client information systems and Microsoft Office;
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel between program sites as required;
- Valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G) and access to a reliable vehicle;
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical screening, including required immunizations.
