Reading, Writing, and Math Tutor

Interested in helping students achieve academic success? If so, consider a tutor position with Sylvan Learning Centre in South Edmonton. Sylvan is recruiting individuals who can teach the Sylvan programs of reading, math, and writing, as well as individuals who can tutor high school students in math, science, and social studies. Tutors work with students in a 3:1 setting in centre, providing individualized instruction to each student. Tutoring is offered to students 4-8 pm Monday through Thursday and 9-2 pm on Saturday.
Applicants are accepted who have a degree (preferably B.Ed.) or who are in the 3rd or 4th year of a degree program. The person who best qualifies has a positive attitude, works well with students of all ages, and is an effective motivator. Instructors for high school tutoring need to have familiarity with the high school curriculum.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
