Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Manager to oversee our food production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in manufacturing and food processing. This role is crucial for ensuring that all food products meet safety and quality standards while maintaining efficient production processes.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of food packaging and processing to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
  • Implement and monitor food safety protocols to maintain high standards of hygiene and quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, ensuring proper maintenance and sanitation practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflows and improve efficiency in food manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, inventory levels, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to basic math principles for inventory management and order processing.

Experience

  • Proven experience in the food industry, particularly within manufacturing or food processing environments.
  • Familiarity with packaging processes and equipment operation, including forklift experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of sanitation practices and food safety regulations.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to food production equipment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
