What you can expect -

Responsibilities:

  • Working with clients in a variety of settings including personal dwellings, apartments, retirement homes, LTC, etc.
  • Provide respite care to caregivers
  • Activities of Daily Living which includes bathing, shower, toileting dressing, etc.
  • Transferring Assistance using a variety of methods
  • Assist with Mobility using safe techniques and aids
  • Incontinence care
  • Medication reminder
  • Light meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping
  • Emotional support
  • Assist with exercising
  • Companionship/Social Support
  • Errand/Transportation assistance

Position Requirements:

Part-time:

  • available for 15-25 hours per week
  • able to work every other weekend and holidays
  • days and afternoons available

Casual:

  • flexible scheduling according to your needs
  • no minimum required

All Positions:

  • must have own vehicle and be able to travel outside of Brantford to surrounding areas (ex. Paris, St. George, Mt. Pleasant, Scotland, etc.)
  • able to work in a variety of environments including some with risks such as animals, smoking, etc.
  • physically capable of lifting up to 40lbs. and completing prescribed transfer methods

Must have a valid drivers license and own transportation as you are required to travel outside Brantford.

Clear Vulnerable Sector Police check required. Up-to-date vaccinations including measles required. CPR/First Aid preferred but not required.
