We are looking for an experienced and motivated
Maintenance Supervisor
to lead our maintenance team in a union manufacturing environment. You will have a certified trade (preferably Millwright or Electrician), strong leadership capabilities, and a track record in process improvement, 5S implementation, and promoting a growth mindset culture.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Cambridge Plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities of maintenance personnel in a unionized environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support continuous improvement projects including 5S, TPM, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment including mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
  • Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
  • Mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory
  • Support capital projects and equipment installations.

Qualifications

  • Certified Trade: Millwright or Electrician (Red Seal preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with unionised work environments and labour relations.
  • Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Experience in implementing 5S, lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A growth-oriented approach to team development and problem-solving.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
