Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and motivated
Maintenance Supervisor
to lead our maintenance team in a union manufacturing environment. You will have a certified trade (preferably Millwright or Electrician), strong leadership capabilities, and a track record in process improvement, 5S implementation, and promoting a growth mindset culture.
You will report to the Maintenance Manager at our Cambridge Plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily activities of maintenance personnel in a unionized environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Support continuous improvement projects including 5S, TPM, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment including mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
- Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory
- Support capital projects and equipment installations.
Qualifications
- Certified Trade: Millwright or Electrician (Red Seal preferred).
- Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with unionised work environments and labour relations.
- Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley preferred).
- Experience in implementing 5S, lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A growth-oriented approach to team development and problem-solving.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
