Job Description: Performs a variety of analytical procedures, analysis and laboratory duties for the detection, diagnosis, prevention and management of disease and illness.

Education

  • e.g. Chemistry required in Chemistry, Microbiology in Microbiology, etc.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in defined science & required courses
  • Major dependent on specific specialty area: 
    • BSC 4-yr degree in Biochemistry or Biology; Medical Microbiology (similar to U of R Biology 303); or Environmental Biology (similar to U of R Biology 276 or 335)
