Job Description: Performs a variety of analytical procedures, analysis and laboratory duties for the detection, diagnosis, prevention and management of disease and illness.

Education

  • Major dependent on specific specialty area:
  • e.g. Chemistry required in Chemistry, Microbiology in Microbiology, etc.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in defined science & required courses
  • BSC 4-yr degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry

    Intro Chemistry (similar to U of R Chemistry 104 or 105)  , Organic Chemistry (similar to U of R Chemistry 241) , Analytical Chemistry I, II (similar to U of R Chemistry 210, 310/215) , Separation Chemistry (similar to Chem 312) , Biochemistry (6 Cr. Hrs.) , Statistics (3 Cr. Hrs.)
