ROLE SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Press Shop Technician demonstrates model behavior and communicates openly and effectively with the team. The Maintenance Press Shop Technician will maintain and troubleshoot stamping presses, ensuring smooth and efficient operation throughout the midnight shift.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complies with relevant Quality and Environmental programs (e.g. TS16949, ISO14001).
  • Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA. Follows and ensures Company procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on stamping presses
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory
  • Other duties as may be required

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or press shop environment
  • Basic electrical knowledge or currently pursuing an apprenticeship as an electrician or pre-apprentice
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience with stamping presses or industrial machinery is an asset
  • Formal training or certification in electrical systems is preferred
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with all team members
