The Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Working Foreman to oversee and manage a wide variety of blasting and coating projects in both our yard and field operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial coatings, application processes and quality control. This role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate crews, ensure compliance with safety and industry standards and deliver high quality results on time and within budget. 

Compensation/Benefits

Competitive hourly wage. Negotiable, based on experience.10% vacation and stat pay on all regular hours worked.Benefits after 90 days with the company - life insurance, dependent life insurance, LTD, AD&D, drug, dental, vision, travel, paramedical coverage.Cell phone allowance  

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily coating activities in the yard and fieldEnsure proper surface preparation, coating application and curing procedures are followedTrain and mentor crew members on best practices and safety protocols Monitor and enforce safety procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies Troubleshoot issues related to coating processes and provide solutions to maintain efficiency Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations Managers, clients and inspectors to ensure smooth project executionEnsure all equipment and tools are properly maintainedKeep extensive inventory of all coating related materials and consumables.  Move equipment to and from job sitesMobilization of equipment to and from job sites 

Educational/Work Experience Requirements

5+ years of experience in industrial coatings, painting, surface preparation with at least 2 years in a supervisory role1+ year(s) experience with Google drive i.e. sheets, gmail, navigating Google drive Strong knowledge of coating application methods, surface preparation techniques and quality control testingPrefer applicants to have Denso, SPC, Stopaq, NACE/AMPP coating ticketsNACE/AMPP lvl 1 considered an assetPreference given to those that have First Aid, LSE, Fall Protection, H2S Alive, Confined Space ticketsClass 5 driver's license and a good driving record required.Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to coating operationsStrong communication skills to liaise with management, clients, contractors and vendorsExcellent english communication skills Must be comfortable driving 1ton trucks with trailers reaching up to 28ftMust be legally eligible to work in CanadaMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
