In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining gas systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain gas piping systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings following blueprints, schematics, and industry standards such as codes.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute installation plans.
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG, and other welding techniques to join pipes and components securely.
  • Conduct pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and rigging to prepare materials for installation or repair.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other mechanical equipment to complete tasks efficiently and precisely.
  • Follow safety procedures rigorously while working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to prevent accidents or hazards.
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble pipeline systems, plumbing fixtures, HVAC components, or fire sprinkler fittings in compliance with local codes and standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including shift reports and incident logs.
  • Assist with maintenance activities on existing gas systems to ensure ongoing safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations concerning ASME standards, pipeline integrity, and safety protocols during every phase of work.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Gas Fitter or in related roles within construction or manufacturing environments. (G1/G2)
  • Clean and valid drivers license
  • Strong knowledge of gas piping installation techniques including welding (MIG, FCAW, TIG), soldering, pipe threading, and tube bending.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing principles and pipeline assembly is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of codes & standards applicable to gas systems and pipelines.
  • Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities with a focus on safety compliance.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizes and system layouts.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and following detailed instructions.
  • Valid certifications in welding (MIG/TIG/FCAW), plumbing or HVAC are preferred but not mandatory. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.78-$43.71 per hour
