Job Description

You'll work alongside the Department Manager to help deliver standout service and operational excellence that reflect Farm Boy's commitment to the best fresh shopping experience. Through collaborative leadership, hands-on coaching, and daily team engagement, you'll help build a high-performing department where team members feel supported and customers feel welcomed.   • Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy's commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
  • Work closely with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve stated goals and performance objectives.
  • Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection.
  • Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness.
  • Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.
  • Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high-quality shopping environment.
  • Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
  • Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment by effectively managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of performance.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills supported by a clear, professional communication style.
  • Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs.
  • Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
