Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide individualized educational support to students in various subjects, including Physics to High School students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in a classroom or tutoring environment, and possess skills in special education. This role is essential in helping students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities.

Duties

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Assist students with homework assignments and projects, ensuring they understand the material.
  • Employ various teaching methods and resources to engage students effectively.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters student growth.

Skills

  • Strong background in tutoring or teaching, particularly in Physics.
  • Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Proficient in using technology for educational purposes, including computerized learning tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating others.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
