Position: Full Time Grain Marketing Position

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Purchase and sales of grain and maintaining customer relations

· Invoicing and settling all purchase and sales contracts

· Actively engage in harvest operations and being available extended hours when required seasonally

· Coordinating freight logistics and customer coordination as required

· Observe grain markets, basis levels, and global commodity influences driving market trends

· Execute and manage a variety of grain purchasing contracts (cash, basis, futures-to-arrive, production, specialty programs, IP soybeans, etc.)

· Engage with customers to originate grain through on-farm visits, phone calls, and ongoing account management

· Helping source organic grain

· Manage and grow a producer portfolio while identifying new origination opportunities

· Hedging CAD and managing position daily for all USD contracts

· Annual Budget preparation of forecasted purchases and sales

· Meet Hedging margin requirements as needed

· Accept other duties as assigned and support special projects assigned by the Management

Requirements:

· Understanding for foreign currency, exchange rates and hedging

· Experience working with basis and futures contracts

· Minimum of three years of experience in grain marketing

· Strong data entry skills with high accuracy

· Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and verbal formats, and when interacting with both individuals and groups

· High level of proficiency in accounting principles, practices, and payroll management

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary is a starting wage for a Junior Marketer and is open for discussion based on experience and qualifications.
