Sales Representative – Disposal Bins, Porta Potty & Septic Services

About the Role

We're looking for a motivated, relationship‑driven disposal, porta potty and septic pumping sales representative to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, understands service‑based industries, and enjoys being out in the field. This role is not just a selling service, it is building long-term relationships with homeowners, contractors, property managers and businesses that rely on reliable, compliant waste management.

You'll be responsible for growing our customer base, maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting our waste disposal services, including roll-offs bins and specialized waste solutions, our porta‑potty rental units and septic pumping services to construction companies, event organizers, homeowners, and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of commercial, industrial, and residential clients
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through cold outreach, networking, site visits, and referrals to generate new business opportunities and generate leads.
  • Build and maintain relationships with:

o Construction and excavation companies

o Property managers

o Event planners and festival organizers

o Municipalities and parks departments

o Industrial sites and contractors

o Homeowners

o Realtors

o Restaurants

  • Provide tailored waste‑management solutions based on customer needs
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and service agreements
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and upsell opportunities
  • Collaborate with operations and dispatch to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Track sales activity and meet monthly/quarterly targets

· Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate service packages

· Represent the company professionally at job sites, events, and industry functions

· Attend trade shows, networking events, and local business meetups

· Recommend the right mix of units

  • Disposal - different disposal bins sizes, soil bins, concrete bins
  • Porta Potty Rentals - standard, handicap-accessible, luxury trailers, handwash stations
  • Septic Pumping - Provide quotes for septic pumping, inspections, repairs, and maintenance plans

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales (waste‑management or construction industry is an asset)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven sales experience (B2B preferred)
  • Ability to build trust quickly and maintain long‑term relationships
  • Comfortable with field work, site visits, and in‑person client meetings
  • Valid driver's license
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and goal‑oriented
  • Ability to explain service frequency, compliance, and sanitation standards
